Hi, I’m Matt!
Hey there! We may or may have not met yet. Nevertheless, I’m Matt. The guy behind the scenes here at Leisure Club. I’ve tirelessly spent the last 8 years, with the help of many friends and family, building what you get to experience now. I’ve used every single available resource to invest into Leisure Club. I absolutely love this brand and the mission behind it, to bring friends and family together more often.
Prior to Leisure Club I spent the early years of my career learning everything I could about business through trial and error. (Similar to the Rocky IV montage where Rocky gains strength through non-traditional methods) I graduated college from OSU with a degree in Fine Art and then dove into the world of entrepreneurship. Since graduating, I’ve started several businesses, spearheaded some fun and innovative projects, and helped deliver results for some of Columbus’ most beloved brands.
In 2017, Leisure Club was born after a conversation around available third space options and the lack of thought that went into the guest experience. Most locations are very one dimensional, transactionally focused, and do not consider the visceral nature of the spaces they create. As someone obsessed with detail, I knew there had to be a different option. That’s how Leisure Club came to be.
After that conversation, Leisure Club has grown into a network of social environments that currently include a Clubhouse and a Lounge. Our Clubhouse, in the historic Trolley District, features a membership that includes consistent programming, app based entry, self-serve options, and hefty discounts on events and more. The Lounge, in Downtown Delaware, is a subterranean speakeasy with a curated menu of cocktails, beers, and wines where the public has access to a reservation calendar, happy hour specials, and generous discounts on events and merchandise.
As Leisure Club continues to strive towards our mission, our vision is equally steadfast, to grow into the preeminent locations where people gather, connect, and celebrate.
